The catering team will ensure that meals provided are nutritious and well presented. There is a wide choice of meals and any resident with specific dietary needs will be accommodated. A 24 hour “light snack” menu is also available to all residents.
Our catering team makes all meals from scratch, using fresh seasonal local ingredients, and taking into account individuals’ preferences and dislikes. Our Head Cook is known for her skill in baking and makes cakes, scones and tray bakes most days of the week! We also have many “themed days” including Best of British, Afternoon tea, Fish and Chips and Cream Teas.
Our head cook has achieved S.A.C. Dip Human Nutritional Skill and all cooks have achieved Catering NVQ 3. Kitchen assistants have achieved or are working towards Catering NVQ2.
Any resident is able to ask for a snack that is not on the menu, and we will do our best to provide it – encouraging an appetite is one of the most important services we offer.
