Our Entry into the Corbridge Christmas Tree Festival.

By 29th November, 2019 News Comments Off

The Corbridge Christmas Tree Festival is back and has some wonderfully creative trees from many different Corbridge businesses and organisations. The Festival is held at St. Andrew’s Church, Corbridge from 29th November to 3rd December 2019

Jayne, our Activity Coordinator, and our residents have been very busy since September making our own “Charlotte Straker Tree” and we think they have produced a masterpiece!

They created a mini “Charlotte Straker House” complete with a decorated “room” with “tiny residents”, and the hangings on the tree were all made to represent events or activities that we have enjoyed over the past few years. These include everything from the Charity Golf Tournament, Charity Fashion Show, outings to the beach, our Summer Fete, visits by Ted the therapy dog, outings to a local farm and more. So much work went into the creation of this design – the tiny room even has the cutest mini framed pictures of all the residents that helped create the design!

We hope you enjoy it, and many thanks to Jayne who worked tirelessly to make sure it was ready for today.
