Our residents have been enjoying some great activity afternoons over the last few weeks. Our volunteer Jean has been reading “Death at Wolf’s Nick” by Diane James – a true crime book about the murder of Evelyn Foster in Otterburn in 1931 (it’s really good and we recommend it!) Jean has also brought in some photos showing the area at the time. Absolutely fascinating.
Our volunteers Diane and Ranald have organised a very popular Gardening Club for our volunteers and have been beautifying the outdoor planters – don’t the summer flowers look wonderful!
Jayne, our Activities Coordinator has been organising “clay sculpture” afternoons, which are very popular. The residents have been making Peter Rabbit ornaments, plaques and figurines. This week, we will be painting our artistic efforts – more pictures to come!
