Board of Trustees
Our Trustee ensures that the Charlotte Straker Project delivers high standards of care to our residents.
Each Trustee is assigned to one of the five main committees: Strategic Development Committee; Finance & Governance Committee; Quality Committee; Fundraising Committee and Nominations Committee
Our Trustees are all volunteers and have an area of expertise that aligns to the responsibilities of each committee.
The Trustees meet at a quarterly board meeting to review performance and discuss issues and strategy. An individual Trustee carries out an inspection of Charlotte Straker House every second month, covering important areas of function and these reports are considered by the Trustees at their regular meetings.
Management
At the heart of any successful organisation lies a team of great people. The staff of Charlotte Straker House are no exception and they are chosen for empathy towards older people and their qualifications and training in the specialist field of nursing and residential care. The leadership, direction and motivation of this qualified team falls under the guidance of our experienced Registered Manager.
Our Staff
We believe the most important asset Charlotte Straker has to offer is its excellent, highly motivated staff. We ensure that staff have the opportunity to develop their range of skills through training and a comprehensive staff development programme. All staff have completed the mandatory training required by the Care Quality Commission and the Northumberland County Council.
