We’re sorry to announce that after very careful consideration we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Charlotte Straker Project 2021 Summer Fete, which was scheduled for Saturday 11th September.

We have carefully considered the risks and issues and decided that cancelling the Fete is the only responsible decision at the present time. We will hopefully return in 2022 and once again be able to hold the fete in Charlotte Straker House grounds.

Unfortunately, fundraising has been very difficult over the past eighteenth months, with our Respite Care Bed Service being particularly hard hit. Our Summer Fete has been a chance to meet with our local community and our supporters as well as being a significant fundraising opportunity. We are determined to keep the bed open, as it is a clear lifeline to the community and a much needed service in the area. The respite room costs us £52,885 per year and is completely funded through grants and donations. We would therefore be grateful for any donation towards this service.
