The Corbridge Apple Pressing Weekend is BACK for 2024 on 5/6 October!! πππππ
The weekend is organised by the Corbridge Community Partnership (CCP) and all proceeds from the sale of cider and sparkling apple juice made from delicious Corbridge apples, are split between ourselves, the CCP and the Corbridge Youth Initiative.
Our volunteers always help out as much as we can and we’re hoping this year there will be plenty of apple donations and helpers.
- To donate eating/cooking apples: if you have apples to donate to this yearβs charity project please leave them on the veranda at the front of the old pavilion at Corbridge Cricket Club from Monday September 30 onwards up to and including the Community Apple Pressing Weekend on Oct 5 and 6. Please also contact John Maude or Maurice Hodgson (see details below) if you want to donate apples but would like them to be picked by our team.
- To volunteer on the Community Apple Pressing Weekend: can you spare an hour or two between 9am and 4pm on Saturday October 5 or Sunday October 6 to help? Volunteers are needed to help with washing, pulping and pressing apples to provide juice. No previous experience necessary and teas/coffees available.
If you can help or would like to organise someone to pick/collect your apples please contact John Maude at: johnmaude100@gmail.com / 07791 590814 or Maurice Hodgson at: maurice.hodgson@btinternet.com / 07940 709636
